HANCOCK - Mary Dysart, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at a Bangor hospital following a period of ill health.
She was born May 18, 1940 in Glasgow, Scotland the daughter of Daniel James and Gean (McLean) McAteer. She was educated in Scotland.
Mary was a "Navy Wife" for 30 years. Her first priority was to her family as a wife and mother. Her family always came first.
Mary is survived by her loving husband Simeon Dysart of Hancock, one son Peter James Dysart of Hancock, one daughter, Teresa Marie Dysary-Moore of Warrenton, VA, two brothers, Sonny McAteer and Peter McAteer of Glasgow, Scotland, on sister Janet Walk of Chicago, four grandchildren; Shannon Marie, Elizabeth Marie, Kaitlyn Marie, and Meaghan Colleen.
She was predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Winnie, Martha, and Anne, and a brother Daniel.
Memorial services will be conducted Dec. 13, 2015 at 2:30 PM at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may make memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or stjude.org.
