NEWPORT - Martina M. Reynolds 77 died July 25, 2015 at the Sebasticook Valley Hospital, Pittsfield following a short illness. Martina was born June 2, 1938 in Blaine, Maine, the daughter of Arnold and Laura (Holmes) Meagher.
She was a graduate of Corinna Union Academy, class of 1957. She married Donald J. Reynolds August 30, 1958. Martina worked at Edwards Company in Pittsfield and retired after 28 years. Later she enjoyed working at the Palmyra Walmart. Martina was a member of the High Street Congregational Church in Newport, was a past Worthy Matron of Nokomis Chapter Order of the Eastern Star Newport, and a lifetime member of the Barrows-Skidgel Post 105 American Legion Auxiliary in Newport. She enjoyed country music and adored her beloved Red Sox.
Martina is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, Don Reynolds of Newport, two sons, Donald Reynolds of Newport, James Reynolds and his wife Lori of Canal Winchester, Ohio, one daughter, Kimberly Brown and her husband Edward of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, six grandchildren; Andrew Reynolds and his wife Danielle of Roanoke, Va, Casey Reynolds and his wife Margaret of Winslow, Brady Reynolds of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Rebekah Reynolds of Lynchburg, Va., Emilee Reynolds of Newport, and Jacob Brown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, one great granddaughter, Sadie Reynolds, her brothers, Carroll Meagher and his partner Janice Moores of Newport, Dalton Meagher and his wife Marcia of Corinna, three sisters-in-law; Joanne Meagher of Palmyra, Cathy Meagher of Corinna, and Jane Hilton of Lincoln, RI, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers; Gary, Merlin and Dean Meagher.
Friends may call Tuesday July 28, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM. at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, 34 High Street, Newport. Funeral Service will be conducted 1 PM Wednesday July 29, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center Newport with Rev. Ernie Campbell officiating.
