- Marsha I. (Kinney) Martin, 64, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Presque Isle. Marsha was born in Worchester, MA, the daughter of John and Lillian (St. Jean) Kinney, she was married to her loving husband, Fernand Martin for 45 years.
Marsha co-owned and ran Martin's Manor Rentals in Presque Isle with her husband Fernand for 29 years. She was very family focused, and loved spending time with Fernand, her children and her grandchildren. Marsha's Christian faith was very important to her; she was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Presque Isle for over 30 years, and enjoyed helping with the bookkeeping of the church. Marsha loved sewing, and made all of her own clothing, as well as, clothing for her entire family. In 2015, Marsha won a Moose permit, and had wonderful memories of a week-long hunting trip with her family and her Pastor. They got a bull moose.
In addition to her husband, Fernand, Marsha is survived by her children and spouses, Eric and Sara Mooney-Martin, Ryan Martin, all of Presque Isle, Keith Martin and his fiancée, Erin O'Connor of Framingham, MA, her siblings and their spouses, David Kinney of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Steve and Cheryl Parent of Van Buren, Phyllis and Ron Lajoie of Caribou, Paula Parent and David LaFlame of Caribou, Brian and Rhonda Parent of Van Buren, Diane Crawford of Castle Hill and Donna Wilder of Milford, PA. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Amelia, Kay, Nelita and Fred, as well as, several aunts and uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special Aunt Edna of South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, Marsha was predeceased by a special mother-in-law, Edmée Martin and brothers Belford ('Benny') Kinney and Stephen Kinney.
Friends and family may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Christ Gospel Church, 49 Church St., Presque Isle, where a funeral will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gaylen Doody, officiating.
