BATH - Mark Paul Pelletier, son of Raynold and Rolande Pelletier, ended his long battle with Graft vs. Host disease at the Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge, MA and passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2015.
Mark was born on February 19, 1963 in Fort Kent, Maine and graduated from Fort Kent Community High School in 1981. He served his country as a marine with an honorable discharge in 1984 and for the last 15 years, had been the Electrical Supervisor at Bowdoin College.
He leaves behind his step-son Spencer Rainey and companion Lindsey McKay, daughter Samantha and companion Rob Vitulli, daughter Lauren, son Logan and three grandchildren, Ivy Vitulli, Lily Vitulli and Myles Rainey. They were the loves of his life and gave him the strength to fight his 12 year battle. Mark will be sadly missed by his parents, brothers Dean Pelletier and wife Debbie of Brunswick, David Pelletier and wife Joyce of Wallagrass, Ricky Pelletier and wife Nancy of Lewiston, Ken Pelletier and wife Jamie of Soldier Pond and two sisters, Linda Shaw of Presque Isle and Donna Madore of Farmingdale. His nieces and nephews will miss his sense of humor, strength and courage. Mark's close friends were very important to him and supported him throughout his illness.
The family wishes to thank all who helped Mark - his friends, the staff at Mid-Coast Hospital, the Lafayette Family Cancer Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the Spaulding Hospital.
Mark enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and hunting. He was the master of BBQ and enjoying challenging anyone for control of the grill. Most of all, Mark enjoyed spending time with those he cared for the most, his family and close friends. During the past few months, he found great joy in getting to know his new grandbabies.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:00am at All Saints parish, St. Mary's Church, with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery to follow.
