Mark's Story

Text size

Shapleigh - Mark Frost, 58 of Shapleigh Maine passed away suddenly on February 19th. Mark was born in Bangor, Maine and graduated from Brewer High School in 1976. After working for the City of Bangor, he moved to Florida to start a long and successful career in telecommunications. His work took him to California, Arizona, Wyoming, and Colorado before returning to his beloved Maine, where he lived on Mousam Lake.

At every stop, Mark made so many great friendships and relationships. He was a simple and principled man, who's word and handshake was something you could take to the bank. He personified work hard to play hard, and he brought fun, joy, love and happiness to everyone he was around. He sucked more fun and adventure out of his 58 years than mere mortals could achieve in 200 years. He was truly one of a kind.

Mark loved collecting antiques, old tools, and being a 'picker'. His prized acquisition was his Tucker. Mark's favorite place on earth was his Cabin on Mousam Lake. He poured his heart into renovations over the years, and he was happiest when there. Whether having a great party with friends, enjoying the lake, or just having a quiet evening with the love of his life, Wanda, he was in his happy place.
Mark was doing what he loved when he left us much too soon, hanging out with Wanda and dear friends, driving his Tucker, and riding his snowmobile on the lake.

Mark leaves behind his dear older sister Nancy Frost, who now resides in Hendersonville, NC; his younger brother Greg Andrews of Enola, PA; his niece Courtney Andrews; and the love of his life, Wanda Marcoux of Shapleigh, Maine, and numerous friends who were like brothers and sisters. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, raise of toast of coffee brandy to an all-time original and pay it forward to a friend in need.
