Marion's Story

PLYMOUTH - Marion Elizabeth Trask, 84, died Dec. 4, 2014 in Scarborough, where she had been a resident of Pine Point Center for several months. Marion was born in Newport, June 11, 1930, the daughter of Carl and Kezzie (Hubbard) Nelson.

She grew up in Lewiston and Newport. Marion graduated from Newport High School as a member of the Nation Honor Society. Marion was married to Cheslin C "Juggie" Trask Sr for 42 years. He predeceased her on June 2, 1991. Marion served as Town Clerk and Tax Collector for 38 years for the Town of Plymouth. Most of her service for Plymouth was done from her home on the Upper Detroit Road. She had many stories of doing business as Town Clerk at any hour of the day or night. She was a member of the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth. After her retirement she liked to travel and take care of her gardens. She loved music of all kinds and enjoyed playing the piano.

Marion was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three daughters; Kezzie Fender of Calimesa, California, Belinda Reed of Loudon, NH, Melinda Webber of Plymouth, ME., 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Cheslin C. "Skip" Trask Jr. on March 10, 1990.

Friends may call at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, 34 High St., Newport, Friday Dec. 12, 2014 from 12-2 p.m. followed at 2 p.m. with funeral services with Rev. Bob Emrich officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. Marion loved flowers but she would not like them to go to waste for only a few moments of pleasure. The family asks that friends who wish make memorial donations in Marion's name to the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church, 1910 Moosehead Trail, Plymouth ME 04969.
