BANGOR - Marion H. Marden, 95, wife of Errol H. Marden, died peacefully August 28, 2014, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born May 4, 1919, in Brewer, the daughter of William and Abigail (Howard) Sutherland.
Marion was a graduate of Brewer High School and was employed by the Brewer Public Library until her marriage to Errol in May of 1946. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was particularly adept at baking, especially raspberry pies and biscuits. She was always an avid reader and instilled the love of reading in her three childen.
Marion is survived by her husband; three children: Priscilla Welsh, and William of East Greenwich, RI; Herrick E. Marden, and Ursel of Sinsheim, Germany; and Ronald L Marden, and Gwen of Mission Viejo, CA. Marion is also survived by two granddaughters: Carrie Tino, and Vincent of North Attleboro, MA; and Elizabeth Welsh of Cromwell, CT, two great-grandsons: Evan and Matthew Tino; a step-granddaughter Leanna Tribaldoes, and John; two step great grandsons, Nolen and Evan Tribaldos of Panama City, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers and sisters.
Burial at South Levant Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 289 State St., Suite B, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
