BUCKSPORT AND DANFORTH - Marilyn Russell, 80, passed away Feb. 6, 2015, at her home with her loving family by her side, after a brief illness. She was born May 14, 1934, in Danforth, the daughter of Alvah B. Irish and Ethel (Bunker) Irish.
Marilyn is a graduate from East Grand High School. She worked at East Grand School for 29 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Russell; and her great-granddaughter, Taylor Darveau. She is survived by four children, Larry and wife, June, of North Carolina, David and wife, Cheryl, of Lincoln, Gail and husband, Kenneth, of Bucksport and Dennis and wife, Wendy, of Orland; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A spring burial will be held in Danforth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Marilyn to the Taylor Foundation, 121 Turkey Path Road, Bucksport, ME 04416. Arrangements are under the care of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services www.mitchelltweedie-young.com
