FORT KENT - Marie Roy, 78, died peacefully April 10, 2014, surrounded by her family at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. She was born October 9, 1935, in Frenchville, the daughter of Andre and Marie Anne (Deschaine) Raymond.
Marie was a past member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was an avid card player, especially enjoyed playing bridge and cribbage, and also an avid golfer for many years, Marie was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many. She will be missed by so many.
She is survived by her son, Curtis and wife, Vicki Roy, of Florida; three daughters, Karen and husband, Joe Lee Gonzales, of Rowlette, Texas, and Deanna Paradis of Fort Kent, Sheila and husband, Tom Price, of Boxford, Mass; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Lauren and Eryn Roy, Amy and Melissa Gonzales, Michael and Aaron Paradis, Corey, Taylor and Tucker Price; two great-grandsons, Luke and Mason; one brother, Roger and wife, Beverly Raymond, of Wallagrass; two sisters-in-law, Kate Raymond of Cross Lake and Lucy Raymond of Conn.; and one brother-in-law, William Hendrickson of Fl.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Irvin N. Roy, on March 6, 2014; two brothers, Camille and Norman Roy; and one sister, Ann Marie Hendrickson.
Friends may call 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent, until time of service. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be May 6, 2014, in the parish cemetery.
