BUCKSPORT AND PINELLAS PARK, FLORIDA - Margaret Stewart Perkins, 82, of Pinellas Park, Florida passed away June 23, 2016, at a Florida hospital after a brief illness. She was born on February 2, 1934, in Dalhousie, New Brunswick, Canada, the only daughter of Charles E. and Axie J. Stewart.
argaret and her husband Carl raised their family in Bucksport and lived there until Carl retired in 1986, and they became snowbirds. When Carl passed away in 1997, she lived in Florida year-round.
Margaret is survived by her three children, Mark Perkins from Pinellas Park, Florida, who took care of her, Vicki Vroom and her husband, David of Bangor and Carla Power of Keaau, Hawaii. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Jeremy Vroom of Carrabassett Valley and Bangor, Erik Vroom of Freeport, Justin Vroom and his wife, Rachael of Indianapolis, Indiana and Billy Jones of Keaau, Hawaii will all miss her along with her new baby great-granddaughter, Marijke Rose Vroom of Indianapolis.
Per Margaret's wishes, there will be no formal service. The family is planning a celebration of life in the near future at her cherished family camp on Toddy Pond. Honoring her and her favorite food, we are sure lobster will be on the menu.
