THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS - Margaret Ann Lewis Haddix, 92, died September 13, 2015. Born 12-24-1922, Schell City, MO to Marion Matlock and Anna Bell Stewart Lewis. Graduated Schell City High (1939, aged 16); matriculated at Missouri University, excelled in math and chemistry. Married Warren O. Haddix (5-3-1940); began (1942) a four decade teaching career, and was an owner of Lewis & Son Hardware and Funeral Home, a licensed Funeral Director, and EMT. Graduated Kansas State University; studied at Southwest Missouri State University. She was a sixty year member of Schell City United Methodist Church, served many civic groups, ADK Sorority, and Order of the Eastern Star; helped write two histories of Schell City. She is survived by son James (and Fay-Ellen) Haddix of Holden, ME, daughter Judith Ann (and John) Gwyn of The Woodlands, TX, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral was September 19 at Schell City UMC.
