Madeline's Story

FORT KENT - Madeline (Daigle) Saucier, 89, died peacefully surrounded by family, November 18, 2014 at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. She was born November 2, 1925, in Daigle, ME, the daughter of Josephel and Celina (Dufour) Daigle.

Madeline was a past member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary, RSVP contributor member. She was on the Elderly Social Action Council. Also loved dancing and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and all aspects of the outdoors.

Madeline is survived by her children; Jacqueline and husband, John Lazorik of Bristol, Conn., James and wife, Connie Saucier of Hartwell, Georgia, Ann and husband, Peter Robichaud of Fort Kent. One foster-daughter, Shirley (Voisine) and husband, Herman Cyr of Torrington, Conn. 13 grandchildren; Kim Lacasse, Larry Belisle, Jamey Saucier, Amber Saucier, Shawn Saucier, Aaron Saucier, Parise (Saucier) Cavicchio, Jake Robichaud, Nicole (Robichaud) Bernier, Debbie Billingsly, Jean Gorse, Danny Cyr, and Tommy Cyr; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. One brother; Clarence and wife, Rona Daigle of Fort Kent; one sister, Leone and husband, Walter Poplaski of New Britain, Conn. Two sisters-in-law; Edwina Daigle of Caribou, ME and Nancy Daigle of Southington, Conn. In addition to her husband, Louis Saucier in 1991, she was predeceased by one son, Donald Jeff Saucier in 1980, six brothers; Patrick, Paul, Armand, Albert, Louis, and Lawrence Daigle.

Funeral services will be announced in the spring.
