SHERMAN AND ORONO - Madeline E. Dumont, 96, wife of the late Wilbert Dumont, passed away peacefully June 5, 2015 at Ross Manor, Bangor, with family by her side. She was born Jan. 30, 1919 in Carroll, the daughter of Grace (Severance) Osnoe and Lawrence Osnoe. Madeline worked hard all her life caring for many from young to old from the time she was a young girl. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children Reta Young, Laurel "Bundy" Osnoe, and Rosanne Bates and her husband Keith; six grandchildren, Herbie Young, Glenn Young, Dolores Young, Jerry Young and his wife Tracy, Melissa Bates, and Alyson Bates-Robertson and her husband Scott; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three step-children, Robert, Kenneth and Patricia Dumont; seven step-grandchildren, Kenneth Mitchell, Donna Archer, Dianne Wilson, Douglas Mitchell, Linda Desrochers, Robert Dumont, Jr., Cathy Hewes; several step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; a brother Clayton Osnoe and a sister Theresa Millington. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by brothers Earl, Carl, Sheldon, Kenneth, Bernard, and Theo Osnoe; and sisters Kathleen Munson, Vivian Bowler and Evelyn Chubbuck; a special granddaughter Tammy Osnoe and stepdaughters Marjorie Mitchell and Loretta Dumont.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Randall Wilbur officiating.
