Foxboro - 'Lou' Lula Mabel (Cross) Zinni, 93, of Foxboro, MA, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 24, 2017, in the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton.
Born in Bradford, ME, on July 24, 1923, the daughter of Melvin W. and Mabel L. (Speed) Cross. Lou was a graduate of Bradford High School. In the early 1940's, she began working for Sears Roebuck & Co. in the credit department. She advanced quickly and spent many years traveling throughout the Northeast establishing bookkeeping sys-tems. After being married and raising six children, she re-entered the workforce as a bookkeeper with Foxboro Furniture, where she worked for over 20 years. She also served as Treasurer at the Doolittle Home in Foxboro for 25 years.
Lou is survived by: Suzanne Zinni of Foxboro; Michael Zinni and his wife, Olympia, of Mansfield; Carmine Zinni of Cumberland, RI; Corinne Case and her husband, Timothy, of Adams, MA; Sharon Rivers of Foxboro; and, Marcia Marinelli and her husband, Peter, of Wrentham; a brother, Woodrow W. Cross of Bangor, ME; a brother, the late Leon Cross, of Bangor, ME; and, her beloved cousin, Erma Adams, of Eddington, ME. Also, survived by fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of twenty years, C. Thomas Zinni; and her brother, Leon Cross, of Bangor, ME.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 3rd, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro, MA. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Victory Church, 67 High Plain Street, Sharon, MA. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lou's memory may be made to: Billy Graham Evangelic Association, 1 Billy Graham Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28201 or Hellenic Nursing Rehabilitation Center, 601 Sherman Street, Canton, MA 02021.
