Lucille's Story

Frenchville - Lucille L. Martin, 86, died Aug. 14, 2016, at a Fort Kent health facility, surrounded by her family. She was born in St. Agatha, ME, the daughter of Joseph and Annie 'Gagnon' Ouellette
She was a member of the American Legion Post No. 145 of Frenchville, Ladies of St. Anne, and worked at St. Joseph Nursing home for 32 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Leo James "Tom" Martin of Frenchville; two sons, Robert and his wife, Joan, of Frenchville and Roger Chasse of Bristol, Ct.; one daughter, Diane and her husband, Raymond Roy, of Florida; three stepsons and their wives, Jim and Helen of N.H., Gary and Jane of Maryland and Allen Martin of Saco; two stepdaughters, Diane and her husband, Pat Albert, and Louise and her husband, Mark Paradis, both of Frenchville; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; three brothers, J. Paul and Cleo Ouellette of Frenchville, and Lucien and Clara Ouellette of Ashland; Brother of Sacred Heart Roland Ouellette of Woonsocket, R.I.; and five sisters, Cecile and Roland Morin of St. David, Evelyn and Roland Michaud of Nashua N. H., Normande Collin of New Britain, Rachel Ouellette of Southington, CT, and Claudette and Leo James Sirois of Higganum, CT. She was predeceased by her first husband, Clarence Chasse; her parents; six brothers, Norman Ouellette of Frenchville, Maurice Ouellette of CT, Arthur Ouellette, Oneil Ouellette, Claude Ouellette and Clifford Martin; four sister, Yvette Plourde, Juliette Lagassey, Yvette Beaulieu and Bernadette Bell; and several niece and nephews.
Friends and relatives may give their condolences to the family at the St. Luce Catholic Church Frenchville from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, with the Rev. Kent Ouellette officiating. Burial in the St. Luce Cemetery.
