GLENBURN - Lucille Marie Briggs, 85, died unexpectedly February 24, 2015, at her home. She was born June 21, 1929, in Glenburn, the daughter of Willard S. and Estelle A. (Taylor) Braley.
Lucille attended Bangor High School and she was a member of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church. She enjoyed hunting and fishing in her younger years, and later on she liked oil painting and writing poetry. Lucille was a very loving and caring person, and she was considered a second mom too many children in the family.
Lucille is survived by her sisters, Eva Grant and her husband, Malcolm, and Hatty Trafton and her husband, Dick; sisters-in-law, Maxine Braley, Margie Braley and Rowena Braley; stepson, Albert and his wife, Pat; stepdaughters, Susan and Edwinnia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lucille was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Albert Briggs; brothers, Ernest, Peter, Charles, Lawrence, Willard, Elwood and Paul; and sisters, Lenora Dudley and Alicia Arsenault.
