Lucille's Story

HOWLAND AND DANFORTH - Lucille E. (Morse) Bailey, wife of the late Kenneth D. Bailey, passed away Jan 13, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 4, 1929 in Danforth the daughter of Leo and Annie (Ouellette) Morse. Lucille dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed knitting and loved to play beano. She was a devout Catholic and was a faithful communicant of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Danforth. She is survived by two sons Kenneth and Kathleen of Winthrop, and Michael and Rhonda of Arkansas; two daughters, Donna and Bruce Gilman of Brookton, and Melanie and Grog Crawford of Lincoln; nine grandchildren Mark, Stephen, Sarah, Kelley, Jill, Andrea, Robin III, Kenneth and Kirstie; eight great-grandchildren Olivia, Madeline, Keagan, Hannah, Kayla, Karleigh, Dawson and Brooke; three great-great-grandchildren River, Pheonix and Pierson; and a sister Madolyn Jansen of California. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Bernard, William, Lawrence, Joseph, Philip and Clarice. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Cummings HealthCare, Lincoln Lakes Dialysis, Penobscot Valley Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center for the excellent care provided to Lucille during her final days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Sarturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Roger Cyr presiding. Spring interment will be in Danforth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, Danforth, or to a charity of one's choice.
