- Louise (Soucy) Levesque, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9th, 2017, at the Borderview Nursing Home. She was born in Siegas, New Brunswick, Canada, November 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Xavier and Delphina (Chamberlain) Soucy. She was a devoted wife of over 60 years to Edgar J. Levesque who predeceased her in 1997.
Her children and grandchildren will fondly remember her for warm molasses cookies on many visits to her home. She had an infectious smile; was creative and had an undying love for her family. She faced a number of challenges throughout her life and always managed these with unending faith and the belief in prayers. Mrs. Levesque was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was predeceased by a son Wayne in July 2016. She is survived by a daughter Viola and her husband Carroll Zetterman of Connor Township; sons, Robert and his wife Darlene Levesque of Topsham; Rick Levesque and his partner Mike of Freeport; and her daughter-in-law Susan Levesque of Bristol, CT; a brother Robert Soucy of Caribou and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be missed as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a truly dear person.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Borderview Nursing Home for their kindness, caring and love for our Mother. Mom was treated with respect and dignity and thought highly of her caregivers.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2017, from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
