- Louisa F. (Pomeroy) Wadleigh of Corinth, Maine, passed on from this world Dec. 30th, 2016, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Bangor, Maine. Louisa was born on February 24th, 1932, to Luis and Mollie Beza in New York City, NY. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Bert.
Louisa was predeceased by her husband Robert Wadleigh and Robert Pomeroy, father of Bob Pomeroy. Also, survived by her former spouse, Emilio Montalvo, father of Emil "Lou" Montalvo.
Louisa is survived by her children, Emil "Lou" Montalvo and wife, Cherie, Bob Pomeroy and wife, Michele; her grandchildren, Cheryl, Jolene, Louis, Kiana and Kyle; her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Erica, Taylor, Cameron and Rylee.
Louisa moved from New York City to Waterbury, Connecticut, when she married Robert Pomeroy in 1958. While in Waterbury, she worked at Woolworths Department Store and then at Scoville Manufacturing Company.
In 1970, she moved to Corinth, Maine, and has lived in the house she loved so much for 46 years. For a few years during this time, she shared this house and Robert Wadliegh's house in Amesbury, NH.
Louisa was a member of the United Methodist Church of Corinth, Maine.
Louisa's upbeat personality along with silly jokes were loved by all and never failed to put a smile on those she told them to.
A memorial service will be planned for Louisa in the spring.
