Lorraine's Story

VAN BUREN - Lorraine M. (Brown) LaBreck, 69, passed away on December 13, 2015 at a local hospital. She was born on October 19, 1946 in Van Buren, a daughter of Leonard and Matilda (Laplante) Brown.

Lorraine was a devoted homemaker and cherished spending her time with her children and husband. She enjoyed playing card games and attending Bingo with friends. She liked to knit and share her crafts with many friends and family and also enjoyed the companionship of her cat, Sunshine.

She is survived by: a son, Brian LaBreck and his fiancée Lori Sanipas of Caswell; a daughter, Lori Ouellette and her husband Paul of Hermon; three stepchildren, Lorraine Caso of Lewiston, Arnold LaBreck of Van Buren and Valerie LaBreck of No. Berwick; four brothers, Ronald Brown Sr., Richard Brown and Vinal Brown, all of Van Buren, and Raymond Brown of Somers, CT; three sisters, Jacqueline LaBreck and Diane Brown, both of Van Buren, and Drena Craft of Caribou; five grandchildren, Darci, Owen, Danika, Kaylee, and Brayden; several step-grandchildren, including Logan and Cody Ouellette; several great grandchildren; a special aunt and godmother whom she was named after, Lorraine Bunker of Vernon, CT; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Beecher in 2003, a step-daughter, Tammy in 2008, brothers Gerald "Jack" and Gene Brown, and sisters Geraldine Powell and Joan Ayotte.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. There will be no calling hours. Spring interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hamlin. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
