Loretta's Story

Text size

Old Town - Loretta P. Levesque, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 6, 2016. She was born on April 18, 1924, in Old Town, the daughter of Albert and Alphonsine (Roussell) Cote.
Loretta worked for Penobscot Shoe Co. along with Kagan-Lawn Shoe Co., where she retired. Loretta was all about her family. She had a love for life and a great sense of humor that would make anyone laugh. She always had a smile on her face. In her early years she loved to travel with her sisters and close friends. On Saturdays you would always find her playing card games. She had this amazing laugh that when you heard it you know it was Loretta.
She is survived by her only child, Albert Levesque of Bucksport; grandchildren, Amy Kneeland and husband, Keith of Bucksport and Jason Levesque and wife, Angela of Presque Isle; great-grandchildren, Aden Hamel, Kaleb Hamel, Addie Levesque, Joseph Kneeland, and Justin Kneeland, due in January 201; sisters-in-law, Hisa Levesque, Bernette Levesque; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Conrad J. Levesque; along with sisters, Evelyn Jarvis, Rose Shirland, Denise Pelletier, Anita Theriault and Leona Ouellette; and brothers, Raymond Cote, Leon Cote, David Cote and Dennis Cote.
The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the staff at Woodland's Senior Living Center and Orono Commons for the outstanding care and compassion they gave to Loretta.
