Lois's Story

SANGERVILLE AND KINGSBURY - Lois E. Worcester, 77, went home to be with God, and the love of her life, Alton, August 1, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor. She was born in Harrington, June 26, 1938, the first child of Merrill and Flora (Grant) Anderson.

She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and served as State Auxiliary President in 1999. Lois served as Kingsbury Plantation Town Clerk and Tax Collector for over 40 years.

She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Alton E. Worcester Sr. in 2003; and by her parents.

She is survived by 4 children; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 4 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; 1 sister; nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life, 2:30 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2015, at the Chadbourne Merrill American Legion Post #29 in Dover-Foxcroft.
