- Lloyd M. Jacobs, 75, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his home in Woodville. He was born June 10, 1941 in Bangor, the son of Charles and Kathleen M. (Pinette) Jacobs.
Lloyd grew up in Millinocket, and attended schools there. He drove school buses for many years, and owned Jacob's Bus Service in Woodville the majority of his bus driving years. Lloyd was a veteran during the Vietnam era, and served the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of the Donald V. Henry Post #80 of the American Legion in Millinocket, where he was a Past Commander, as well as the American Legion Riders and the D.A.V. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, but his grandchildren were his true pride and joy. He had an infectious and unique laugh, and he will be missed by his family, friends, and crew at the Diner.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sally J. (Day) Jacobs of Woodville; four children, Leonard Jacobs and Betsy, Audra Lynch and her husband Greg, Kay Rodgerson and her husband Mike, and T.J. Jacobs and her fiancé Mike McNally; four grandchildren, Charley Rae Romesburg and her husband Rich, Ryan Federico and his fiancé Morgan Tozier, Derrick Spaulding and his fiancé Stephanie Ryan, and Shep Harriman and Loren Herrmann; five great grandchildren, Richie, Noah, and Natalie Romesburg, and Jason and Nova Federico; a special cousin, Elodie Kay Osborne; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Timmy Jacobs.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, February 8 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Thursday, February 9 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Catholic Church, 58 Cedar Street, East Millinocket with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider.
