Lindsay's Story

Text size

Bangor - BANGOR, ME - Lindsay Anne Moore, 27, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on January 12, 2016, after a courageous battle with melanoma. Lindsay was born in Methuen, MA and grew up in Bangor, ME, with much time also spent at her fathers home in Massachusetts. She was a 2007 graduate of Bangor High School. Lindsay was adventuresome, funny, and deeply loved by her family and friends, many of whom traveled long distances to visit her in the last few weeks. She especially loved live music, and attended dozens of concerts and music festivals, often traveling several hours to see a show. A lifelong Beatles fan, Lindsay saw both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in concert in 2016, a highlight of her life.

Lindsay is survived by her mother, Maureen (Gregory) Moore of Bangor, ME; her father and stepmother, Dennis and Barbara Moore of Danvers, MA; her sister and closest friend, Sarah Moore of Bangor, ME; her brother, Sean Moore, of Danvers, MA; her grandmother, Jackie Moore of Milford, NH; her pets, Calvin and Hobbes of Bangor, ME and Tillman of Danvers, MA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly; and, her many friends.

Lindsay showed incredible strength and courage throughout her illness. Her family is extremely grateful to the Kaplan House and its staff, who took such wonderful care of her. A celebration of Lindsay's life will be held in Maine in the Spring. Assisting the family with arrangements is the The Peterson-ODonnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lindsay's memory can be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House/Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Ste.
