Linda's Story

Text size

Old Town - Linda E. Miller, 66, passed away peacefully in Bangor, September 2, 2017, with her three sons at her side. She was born in Bangor, August 4, 1951, the daughter of Clifford S. and Elizabeth L. (White) Miller.
Linda graduated from Old Town High School. For many years, she worked as a cook, which she loved, and later as a personal care attendant. Linda always loved to cook, and would often cook for an army and then some. Christmastime was a treat-filled holiday, when she would bake all kinds of cookies, brownies and bars. When she wasn't in the kitchen, Linda enjoyed playing Bingo on Facebook, scouring the internet for new recipes, and shopping for bargains. In her younger years, she would go dancing or be found singing along to her favorite bands, frequently being pulled up on stage to sing along. Linda was not a fan of President Trump. She often would say she would impeach him herself if she could.
Linda loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, Clifford Miller, Jr.; special friend, Francis Leland; her twin grandsons, Dakota and Daniel Doucette; and her very good friend, Theresa Cox. She is survived by her loving sons, Jamie Doucette and wife, Michele and their dog, Gordon all of Veazie, Randy Doucette and Lacie of Newburgh, Sidney Dunton of Old Town; grandchildren, Samantha Doucette and fiancé, Jeremy Pelkey of Lincoln, Dustin Doucette and fiancée, Brittany Patterson of South Carolina, Paige Doucette of New Hampshire, Amber Jones and Savanna Doucette, both of Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Hendrix and Paisley. She is also survived by three sisters, Dottie Thibodeau, Louise Ness, Juanita Frasier; several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
The family invites relatives and friends to call 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. with Pastor Steve Smith of Orono and Alton United Methodist church, officiating. Interment will follow the service at Milford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family C/O Jamie and Michele Doucette, 1185 Chase Rd, Lot #8, Veazie, ME 04401.
