SOUTH WINDSOR - Lillian Clark Lenentine, 81, of South Windsor, died Monday April 20, 2015 at Saint Francis Hospital due to complications from congestive heart failure. She was born In Oakfield, Maine and had lived in South Windsor for over 50 years.
Lillian worked at Phillip R. Smith School on Avery Street for 28 years first as a substitute teacher and Librarian until she earned her Master's degree from UConn. She then taught 2nd and 4th grades and even after retirement was a volunteer at the school. She was also the neighborhood Girls Scout leader for many years.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband Weldon J. Lenentine and her sister Alca (Clark) Bechard. She leaves her two daughters Karen L. Dalrymple and her husband George of West Suffield, CT, and Cheryl L. Desmond and her husband Jed of Bristol, CT. She also leaves her granddaughter Katie Tirrell of Terryville, CT, her brother George N. Clark of Oakfield, ME and her sister Sandra Estes and her husband George of Lee, NH and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 25th at 12:00pm followed by burial in Wapping Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, before the services from 11am to noon.
