BANGOR - Lillian V. (Carlson) Cook, 93. Our beloved mother peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at a Bangor hospital.

A long-time resident of Lexington, MA, she moved to Brunswick, and later Bangor, ME to be closer to her children.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Gilbert Cook and is survived by her sister, Alice Regnell of Brockton MA, and her children, Sandra Mann and her husband Art of Patten, ME, Ronald Cook and his wife Rose of North Attleboro, MA, Lynda Cook of Topsham, ME, and Lauren Sullivan of Freeport, ME. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. in Lexington, MA. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, August 15, also at Douglass Funeral Home with a short graveside service following at Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lillian's name to The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
