Leslie's Story

MILO - Leslie Edward (Dizzy) Dean passed away at his home in Milo on Wednesday, October 14, 2015.

He was born in Bangor on January 23, 1928 to Clara (Hall) Dean and Aubrey Dean, the last of four children. He is survived by a daughter, Ellen Moore and her husband, Kevin of Milo; a brother Frank Dean of Mesquite, Texas; a special nephew, Alan Douglass; three grandsons, Gordon Robinson IV and his wife, Kelly of Kenduskeag; Andrew Robinson and his partner TJ Lawler of Newport; and Jason Dean and his wife, Erika of Dover Foxcroft. Also five great-grandchildren, Grace, Ava and Olivia Robinson of Hampton, NH, Quin Robinson of Kenduskeag and Aubrey Dean of Dover Foxcroft. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years Margaret "Peggi" Dean, a son, John Dean of Concord, NH, a brother, Donald Dean of Freeport and a sister, Dorothy Douglass of Milo.

He was a former member of the Milo Fire Department, the Penquis Cruizers and the Porsche Club of America, Downeast Division. He worked for the Cocker Spaniel Rescue and loved his rescued foster dogs and was a good "Daddy" to them.

A celebration of Dizzy's life is planned for 2:00pm., Sunday, October 18, 2015, at the American Legion Hall the Milo.
