FRANKFORT - Leona (Vienneau) Godin passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital on January 16, 2016.
Leona was born in Bathurst, N.B. Canada on August 11, 1932. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Raoul Godin, her parents Philiase Vienneau and Josephine Hachey Vienneau, one sister, Violette Doucet, four brothers, Warrie, Oscar, "Renee," and Gerald.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynda Nowell and husband Tim of Frankfort, four sons, Andre' and Gerard of Bangor, Maurice and wife Angie of Etna, Daniel and wife Brenda of Winterport, two sisters, Edna Caissie, and Rosalie Leet and husband Fred, all of Bathurst, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
Leona always put others before herself and was extremely devoted to her family. She was a very hard worker, loved to crochet, make puzzles, play cards and bingo, and drink "King Cole" tea.
A memorial service will be held at Jason and Dawn Godin's home on Sunday, January 24th at 1pm at 374 North Main St. in Brewer.
