Leland's Story

ST. ALBANS - Leland Howard Sinclair, 91, died unexpectedly January 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born December 4, 1923 in Monmouth, a son of Howard and Marion (Hatch) Sinclair. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and retired from Irving Tanning Company in 1986. Leland was a past member of the Corinna American Legion.

He is survived by a son, David and wife Pat of Wells; and a daughter, Kathryn and husband Richard Taylor of Pittsfield; a sister, Grace Shea of Ellsworth; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Joyce (Whittle) Sinclair.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 P.M. Wednesday, February 4th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 22nd, at St. Albans Village Cemetery, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating.
