Larry's Story

ST. FRANCIS - Larry Nadeau, Sr., 71, died unexpectedly May 5, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 12, 1944 in St. Francis the son of Roland and Lea (Thibodeau) Nadeau.

Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially spending time with his grandchildren whom were very special to him. He served in the US Army for 20 years. He served as a Park Ranger on the Allagash Wilderness Water Way for 14 years, which was one of the highlights of his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Hilda (Kelly) Nadeau of St. Francis; three sons, Dale and wife Tina of Turner, Larry Jr. and companion Hannah of Fort Kent, Jason and companion Jennifer of St. John; 11 grandchildren: Nicolas, Colby, Zoe, Larry III, Rebekah, Yana, Alexander, Ryan, Simon, Cody, and Caitlyn; one brother, Eric Nadeau of St. John; one sister, Lois and husband Leonard Pelletier of Fort Kent; sister-in-law, Patsy Nadeau of St. Francis; brother-in-law, Fernald Jandreau of Fort Kent; and his aunt, Janet Jandreau of Fort Kent. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his brother, Richard Nadeau and a sister, Iris Jandreau.

A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 am Thursday, May 12, 2016 at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St. Fort Kent, Me. 04743.
