Kimberly's Story

ELLSWORTH - Beloved daughter, sister, fiancé, aunt, Godmother and friend, Kimberly (Kimmy) Lynn Beal, peacefully departed the physical realm surrounded by her family on February 22, 2015. Kimmy was welcomed to Heaven in the loving embrace of her sister; grandfather; and aunts who predeceased her.

Kimmy was a tiny, passionate, fiery woman who loved others deeply and lived life on her own terms. She learned to fight after surviving childhood cancer, which brought with it a host of ongoing medical challenges and limitations that she faced with grace and dignity. She taught her friends and family endless lessons about resilience, love, loyalty and determination. Kimmy loved to spend time with the many people that quickly turned from friends to family making memories boating, eating, dancing, drinking Bud Light, fishing, planning her wedding, taking pictures, shopping, following General Hospital, talking, playing with her nephews and laughing. She had a sharp sense of humor, an easy laugh and a sailor's vocabulary. In the words of Shakespeare "And though she be but little, she is fierce."

Kimmy was proud of her job as a bartender at Pepper's Pub in Ellsworth. Her customers and coworkers quickly became extended family to Kim and the Peppers Pub crew have stood by her side every step of the way, providing her with love and every kind of support imaginable. Kimmy's friends are just too numerous to list, and trying to do so is just impossible. Kimmy had lifelong friends from down east Maine as well as new friends made while she lived in both Franklin and Ellsworth. She had a permanent seat at the dinner table of several of her "adopted" families...Shane Alley and family, Leslie and Charlie, Mark & Cathy Chandler, the Fontain/Butters, the Graham's, Tracy & Timmy Beal, the Whalen family, Jennifer Wing, the Schlaefers and many more.

Kimmy was the youngest of three children, and was born to Michael R. Beal and Tina (Beal) McFadden on July 7th, 1987. She is survived by the love of her life and husband to be, Codey Chandler and their dog, Dallas of Ellsworth; father, Michael R. Beal and stepmother, Rebecca Beal of Addison; mother, Tina McFadden and her partner, Daniel Escobedo of Columbia; brother, Michael C. Beal; sister-in-law, (and in heart) Kristina Beal of Ellsworth; and Kimmy's nephews/God sons, Keenan and Kameron Beal of Ellsworth. Kimmy had a special place in her heart for her eldest nephew, Kane Clark of Milbridge; and her grandmother, Joanne Beal of Cherryfield. Kimmy was predeceased by her older sister, Stephanie Beal; her grandfather, Ronald Beal; and her aunts, Sandy Beal and Valerie Corbett. Kimmy was the heart and soul of a family that includes paternal uncles; Steve Beal and his wife, Sheila of Queen Creek, Arizona, as well as Ron Beal and his partner, Sandy of Glenburn; maternal aunt, Brenda Beal of Ohio; cousins, Dan and Davya Beal and their children, Bianca & Meshka of Fort Pierce, Florida, Chris Beal and his partner, Jessica Wilbur & their son, Erick Beal of Port St. Lucie Florida, Nick Beal of Daytona Beach, Florida and Justine Corbett of Omaha, Nebraska.

Please join Kimmy's family and friends as we celebrate the 27 years of love and life Kimmy shared with us at 3:00 pm, March 07, 2015 at Narraguagus High School, 1611 Main St., Harrington.
