PORTSMOUTH, NH - Kevin D. Newton, 57, died December 29, 2015 at his daughter's in Epping, NH.
He was born February 8, 1958 in Portsmouth, NH, son of the late Ray
and Ethel (Hurd) Newton.
Kevin grew up in Newcastle, NH and was a graduate of Portsmouth High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era from 1975-77, mainly stationed in Alaska. He worked 10 years for Chris Hofstra Incorporated in Portsmouth, and formerly was employed at The Bread Box in Portsmouth. Kevin lived the majority of his life in Portsmouth, NH and was currently residing in St. Albans, ME.
He was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hunting, fishing and
camping. Kevin was an avid Patriots fan and racing fan.
He was predeceased by a brother, Greg Newton. He is survived by 3 daughters, Robin Mitchell and her husband, Bobby
of Syracuse, NY, Heather Newton and her husband, Derek of Epping, NH, and Sam Newton and companion, Judy of Dover, NH; 3 sons, Christopher "Topher" Newton and his wife, Hayleigh of Epping, NH, James "Buddy" Newton and his wife, Kathleen of Epping, NH and Kevin "Boo-Boo" Newton
of Ft. Drum; 7 grandchildren, Jacob & Taylor Short, Jasmyne Bickford, Emma Mitchell, Lillyana Bickford, Avery Mitchell, Jordyn Newton, 2 sisters, Karen Daskoski of Bingham, ME. and Rhonda Newton-Vance of China, ME., brother, Ray Daskoski of Chelsea, ME. and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 2:00-4:30 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping, NH.
The funeral service with military honors will follow on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 4:30 PM at the funeral home.
