Kenneth's Story

Bangor - Kenny Broughton passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Eastern Maine Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends. Kenny has gone to be with the Lord. He fought a good fight against cancer by focusing his energy on life and the love of his family. Kenny chose to create a "bucket list" and to enjoy the time he had.
Kenny is survived by his beautiful wife, Shelley Broughton; his mother, Shelley Broughton; sister, Sarah Broughton; daughters, Alana Boughton, 16, and Haley Broughton, 13; stepchildren, Robert MacDonald, 22, Alexus Landry, 19, and Sophia Alexander, 18; and his cherished dogs, Hannah and Dutchess. He leaves us all with special memories of him enjoying his love of recovery and all that he was able to accomplish as a clean and sober man. Kenny especially enjoyed time riding alongside his friends on his motorcycle. He was a fisherman and worked in construction. We will all miss Kenny's sense of humor and willingness to be of service whenever he had the opportunity!
Please join Kenny's family and friends next Saturday as they celebrate his life at the Crosspoint Church in the Thrive Youth Center located on outer Broadway in Bangor. The service will take place Saturday, October 22, 2016, beginning at 11:00AM with lunch immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, friends have set up a Go Fund Me account to help support the Shelley and the kids. Please click here to donate:
