Julia's Story

BREWER - Julia M. (Urquhart) Bridgham, 89, a longtime resident of Brewer passed away October 6, 2014, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Jan 20, 1925, in Jonesboro, the daughter of James and Harriet (Look) Urquhart.

Julia was a school teacher at Washington Street Elementary in Brewer for many years. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Brewer.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear husband, Keith F. Bridgham in 2004, a sister, Alicia Norton in 2010, and an Uncle Guy Look in 2010. Surviving are many loved ones and dear friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Maine Veterans Home, Bangor, for their loving and devoted care given to Julia over the past 10 years.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, October 10, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 S. Main Street, Brewer, with Pastor Harbour Mitchell, of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, at Bayview Cemetery, Jonesport. Main Street, Brewer, 04412.
