WINTERPORT - Judy M. Pierce, 60, resident of Winterport, died peacefully Sunday, September 14, 2014. She was the daughter of Helen (Arnold) and the late Legorie Brasslett.
Judy was a native of Glenburn and had made her home in Winterport for the past sixteen years, prior to that she had lived in Hudson for many years. She attended and graduated from Central High School, Class of 73. Judy worked as a cook at Husson University for many years. She enjoyed crafting and gardening. She especially loved to spend time at her "home away from home", the family camp at Boyd Lake.
Judy is survived by her mother, Helen of Glenburn; son, Chad A. Pierce of Trenton; daughter, Salina Pierce of Winterport; brothers: Raylan and wife Ruthena, Gordon and companion, Patty, and Tony Brasslett, all of Glenburn; as well as her "adopted children." She is also survived by her special friend, Julie Perkins of Winterport.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation and celebration of life on Thursday, September 18, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden. The family would like to encourage those attending to bring any photos of Judy to share. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Champion the Cure Challenge, Fishing for a Cure Team, c/o EMMC Foundation, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931. Arrangements are entrusted to Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden.
