- Joyce A. Mooney, 73, wife of Jim A. Mooney, passed away peacefully January 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 20, 1943, in Bangor, the daughter of William and Mary (Spellman) Arbuckle.
Joyce worked in the Bangor area for many years in hospitality and would be remembered by most for her time working at the IGA Supermarket and the IGA Coffee Shop in Brewer or Jimmys Place in Bangor. She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Jim A. Mooney of Bangor; two children, Daniel Andrews and his wife, Theresa, of Clearwater, FL, and Lisa Mooney of Bangor; three grandchildren, Justin, Robert and Shawn Andrews, all of Clearwater, FL; one sister, Mary Kay Ayer and her husband, Michael, of Holden; and four brothers, William Arbuckle and his wife, Peggy, of Penobscot, Michael Arbuckle and his wife, Joanne, of Hampden, Timothy Arbuckle of Brewer and Douglas Arbuckle of Largo, FL; a sister-in-law, Sheila Perry of Hampden; several nieces and one nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Peggy Weber. Joyces family gratefully thanks New Hope Hospice for their excellent care that they provided to Joyce and her family.
Joyce requested that no formal services be held.
