Joyce was a proud veteran who served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Family was always important to Joyce. She was a stay-at-home mom with an entrepreneurial spirit. She made countless wedding dresses and quilts for everyone she loved and more. After her kids grew up, Joyce took on babysitting and she started breeding Siamese cats. Joyce was a member of the Aqua Synchronized Swimming Team. She taught all of her children to swim at a young age. She kept the competitive spirit alive by challenging each child, when they were ready, to swim across the lake with someone in a canoe beside them. Joyce loved to bowl and was on multiple bowling teams. She was an avid reader. She read everything from Latin to fiction, and expressed the importance of reading to her children. Joyce loved Scrabble, cards and was a wiz at crossword puzzles. Joyce loved to dance; she also had a wonderful sense of humor. She was the matriarch of the Miller clan and will be missed.
