PARKMAN - Joyce R. Corson, 80, died September 30, 2014, at Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield. She was born in Dexter, May 28, 1934, the daughter of Robert Sheldon Neal and Lorraine M. (Richard) Neal.
She grew up in Dexter and attended Dexter schools, however, as the oldest child, she left school early to help care for her other siblings. In later years, Joyce became an active member of the Parkman Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Leonard Corson Jr of Parkman; 3 daughters, Patricia Larry of Atkinson, Robin Corson of Cambridge, Delores Rich of Parkman; 4 brothers, Dale Neal of FL, Robert Neal of Naples, Rodney Neal and Richard Neal, both of Indiana; 4 sisters, Carol Sheppard of TN, Jerice Sinclair of Ripley, Ruby Woodard and Jean Bailey, both of Guilford; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a special cat, Snowball. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Corson Sr.; and 2 grandchildren, Jimmy and Vanna.
Graveside committal services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman, followed by a celebration of her life at the Parkman Baptist Church. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford. For an online guest register, go to www.CrosbyNeal.com.
