- Joseph L. Eddie Paradis, 70, died peacefully at a Bangor Hospital on May 23, 2017. He was born in St. Agatha, Maine, on June 19, 1946, the son of the late Leo and Juliette 'Albert' Paradis.
He was a Disabled American Veteran, and member of the American Legion and long time Knights of Columbus 4th degree. He was born and raised on Long Lake and continued to love the outdoors, loved to fish year round and hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Barbara 'Dietrich' Paradis of Madawaska, two daughters Barbara Osgood and Fiance Paul Soucy of St. David, ME, Kelly Dionne of Fort Kent, ME. Seven grandchildren Kylie, Mathieu, Kaylee, Jessica, Celeste, Cameron, Shane, and four great-grandchildren Justine, Aaron, Bailey, and Tucker. Two brothers Edward and Sue of Zebulon, NC, and Philip of Madawaska, one sister Gilda and Wayne Moshier of Frenchville, ME, and one brother-in-law Walter Corriveau. He was predeceased by his parents, one daughter Kim, one brother Camille, two sisters Joanne and Ida. Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha, Friday May 26, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. till time of Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Agatha Catholic Church with Rev. Kent Ouellette officiating. Burial will be in the Veterans Cemetery in Caribou.
