Joseph's Story

ELLSWORTH - Joseph "Bee" Chanel Ouellette, 85, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Ellsworth, ME. He was born in Van Buren, ME on December 11, 1929, the son of the late Albert Ouellette and Mary (Levasseur) Ouellette.

Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He attended Hartford Technical School and was later self-employed as an auto mechanic. Over his career of 40 plus years, Ouellette's Garage had locations in Hulls Cove, Bar Harbor, and Trenton. "Bee" was a dedicated and loving husband to Mrs. Charlotte (Robbins) Ouellette, she passed in 2007. He was a member of the VFW in Trenton. Many of his good friends and family members have gone before him, but they too will be reunited again.

His survivors include his children- Brenda Butler and husband, Carl of Mt. Desert Island, Susan Jordan of Portland, Michael Ouellette of Ellsworth; brother- Phillip Ouellette of Wallingford, CT; sisters- Jerry D'Amico of New Britian, CT and Yvette Carpey of Southington, CT; grandchildren- Paul Boisvert Jr. of Bar Harbor and Vanessa Quarteraro of Washington; 4 great-grandchildren.

Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Ouellette; both of his parents and 10 siblings.

In honor of Joseph, a memorial service will be Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11am at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Ellsworth with Pastor Bob Maddocks officiating. Joseph's committal service and burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Ellsworth, ME.
