FORT KENT - Joseph "Donald" Arbour, 68, died peacefully with his family by his side on April 8, 2016 at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. Don was born in Augusta December 5, 1947 the son of Joseph and Bertha (Parent) Arbour.
Don served in the US Navy from 1965 to 1968. He was a Master Plumber for many years. He enjoyed playing cribbage, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle, especially spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Plourde) Arbour; son, Lee Arbour; daughters, Amber and husband Scott Leclair, Rebecca and husband Jonathan Michaud, Jo and husband Timothy Brann all of Fort Kent; son, Blake Plummer of Edgecomb, Me.; two grandchildren, who he completely adored and who brought light to Don's life, Gabriel and Alexandra Michaud. He is also survived by three sisters, Wanita Thibodeau of Oxford, Me., Connie and husband Roger Letendre of Enfield, CT., Diane Stetson and fiancé Phil Pillsbury of Vienna, Me.; one brother, Richard (Dickie) Arbour of Augusta, Me.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Paul Arbour.
Friends may call Monday, April 11, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9 to 10:30 am at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial with Full military honors will be celebrated 11 am Tuesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held in the parish cemetery.
