EAST MACHIAS - John Reynolds was tragically taken from his loving family on October 5, 2015. John Robert was born April 12, 1968 at DECH Machias, son of John Henry and Rebecca Black Reynolds.
John became an uncle at the age of 2. Bob and Deb came along. Then shortly after, his "shadow," Chris. John had "adopted" them as brothers and a sister. John graduated from W.A. and NMVTI. Growing up, he worked with his dad, learning the skills of the carpenter trade to "perfection." He worked on scallop and lobster boats with his brother-in-laws, which was another learning experience. He worked the past 22 years at DECF, Bucks Harbor.
John loved being outside, mowing the lawn, camping, hauling Diamond to the horse shows. The special campfires in the backyard with his two beautiful daughters, Jordan and Alex and of course, Gunner, the family dog.
He was predeceased by his dad, John Henry Reynolds; maternal and paternal grandparents; a special Aunt Mary and Uncles-Jim, Carlton, and Frank Black; Uncle Deke, Alphonso, Judson and Maurice Reynolds.
John is survived by his loving daughters-Jordan and Alex; their mother, Michelle; mother-Rebecca Reynolds; sisters-Ellen Bridges, Carla and Larry Morgan, Mary Lou and Hoppy Moore; nieces and nephews- Debbie and Eric Murphy, Bobby Moore and Anne Pennell, Timmy Moore, Chris and Christina Bridges, J. Bridges, Katie Bridges; great nieces and great nephews-Hayley and Cassidy Murphy, Blake Henry and Addison Bridges, Dylan, Taylor, and Gracee Sue Bridges, MaKenna, Shannon and Aaron Currier; Great-great nieces-Audrey and Emersyn Currier; aunts-Anna Black and Abby Getchell; many cousins; special cousin-Margaret and Tom Gagnon; many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Machias. John's church service will be at 10am on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Machias. The committal service and burial will follow at East Machias Village Cemetery.
