- John F. Jordan, 48, passed on December 10, 2016 following a courageous battle against cancer. He was born January 23, 1968 in Bangor, a son of John and Mary (LeBlanc) Jordan.
John was a dedicated, loyal, and hardworking man. While John did work long hours, he made sure there was plenty of family time as well and enjoyed taking family vacations. With a heart of gold, his close friends were also his family and he made sure he kept in touch. John was a spitfire and the life of the party. He was an avid sports fan and an animal lover. John loved to spend time in the outdoors fishing, kayaking, camping, and four-wheeling. John was extremely proud of his family and knowing his daughters had found wonderful husbands.
Educated in the Bangor School system, John, graduated from Bangor High in 1986. As a Bangor Ram, he was a star athlete, excelling in track, baseball and football. He went on to play four years of baseball at Husson College. "Johnny The Bread Man"was a devoted route sales driver for 25 years.
John is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Lynne (Buck) Jordan; two daughters and their husbands Elise and Ben Perry and Sabrina and Dillon Shorey; his mother Mary Jordan, brother Ronald Jordan and his wife Deenie, sisters Rhonda Cook and her husband Christopher, Sheryl Jordan and her fiancé Charlie; mother-in-law Mary Buck; extended family members Sharon Buck, Rhonda Blount and her husband Dru, Herbert Buck Jr and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John Jordan and father-in-law Herbert Buck Sr.
A celebration of his life gathering will be conducted 3-5 PM Saturday December 17, 2016 at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A spring burial will be held in Old Town. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
