WINTER HARBOR - John Charles Fuhrman, 82, died March 5, 2015, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Jersey City, NJ, May 10, 1932h son of John J. and Mary (Scharman) Fuhrman.
John served in the U.S. Navy. He was a 40 year volunteer fireman in NJ. He was self employed for 27 years as a telephone consultant. He was a member of Eucharistic minster at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Elaine M. (Brazzale) of Winter Harbor; sons, John M. Fuhrman of Winter Harbor, Peter Fuhrman and wife, Jeanine of Hamilton, NJ, and Gregory Fuhrman and wife, Kim, of West Minster, MD; five grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and sisters, Mary Mathews, Sayerville, NJ, and Agnes Meduitz, Manchester, NJ. He was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Katherine (Knarre).
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at St. Joseph Church, 231 Main St., Ellsworth.
