OAKLAND - Jeweline Walker Bonnell, 68, of Oakland, Maine went home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ on November 6, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Jeweline was born on 5 July, 1947 in Allagash, Maine to Albert and Minnie Walker. She attended school in Allagash and earned a degree at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. She lived in many towns across the state but always considered Allagash her home. Her passion to serve in the community remained with her even in her final days. She volunteered as President of the American Legion Women's Auxillary in Oakland and was a participating member for over 20 years. Her home was open to all. She enjoyed holidays, fishing, cooking, canning, quilting, baking bread, long conversations over coffee, drying a tear, hugging a stranger, and spending time with her family and friends. Jeweline was a loving wife, mother and friend who brought love and laughter to all she touched.
Jeweline is survived by her husband Scott Bonnell. She leaves behind her beloved children: son Donald Hafford Jr. and wife Donna of Arizona, daughter Julie (Kern) and husband David of Oakland, son Robert Hafford and partner Tasha York of Waterville, daughter Amy Staton of Winslow, daughter Tess (Grous) and husband Matthew of Ellington, Connecticut, and daughter Kim (Ronan) and partner Kathy of Gardiner, her seven grandchildren; Scott O'Leary, Joshua Gluz, Courtney Kern, Kristen Kern, Sean Staton, Addalyn Hafford and Kamden Hafford, and two great grandchildren.
