- Jessica P. Ashe-Ferguson, 39, passed in her sleep, after a long battle with Metastatic Melanoma, at her home in Mattawamkeag, with her mother and father by her side.
She was born January 6, 1978 in Ellsworth, Maine, to Stuart A. Ashe and Heather L. (Dove) Ashe. Larry "Doggie" Ferguson officially adopted Jessica when she presented him with the papers, they sealed the deal on December 12, 2013.
She was a lover of nature, the flowers and the moon, the stars and the animals, all animals. She loved treasure trolling, kayaking, and quiet times. She was a day dreamer and a soul searcher and if you bonded with her there isn't anything she wouldn't do for you.
She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy and went on to become a CNA and shared many a compassionate story from her patients, and the love she had for them and a mill worker at Great Northern Paper in East Millinocket and Millinocket. But, the one that stole her heart was working with the very talented staff at Diversified Ink, as a receptionist, in Bangor, she was very proud to call them her friends and family.
She was predeceased by her biological father, Stuart A. Ashe, her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Pearl Ashe and John Ferguson and her beloved "Sweetheart" Kennedy White. She is survived by her parents Larry and Heather Ferguson of Mattawamkeag, her grandmother Gladys B. Ferguson of Island Falls, her step-brother Larry Ferguson II and his fiancé Nancy Guoid of Springfield, her step-sister Heather Dill of Washington, 2 very special young ladies who referred to her as their "second Mama", Megan L. Welch and Abby G. Welch, Bailey "The Wrench" her best friend, Brandi MacKechnie and Darcey McQuaid her "Sistas", a very close and special friend Jeff Veillette and her fur babies Dozer and Tigger, several nieces and nephews and great nieces. Also, many Uncles and Brothers from the Exiles MC, and their wives and significant others.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Camp Capella in Dedham, Maine. A "Celebration Of Life" will be held on June 3, at 1:00 at the MMC clubhouse in Mattawamkeag, Maine
