Jeffery's Story

WEST GARDNER AND NEWPORT - Jeffery A. Davis 57, died unexpectedly Dec. 15, 2015 at his West Gardner home. He was born in Dexter, Jan. 18, 1958 the son of Gerald L. and Nancy (Tucker) Davis. Jeff attended Newport schools and was a graduate of Nokomis Regional High School in the class of 1976.

After graduation from Nokomis Jeff worked at H.P. Hoods in Newport until it closed. He then went to work for Dexter Shoe in Newport and worked there until it closed. At the time of his death Jeff was long time employee for Securitas Co. a security company working at Riverview Hospital in Augusta.

Jeff was known for his great sense of humor and everyone loved him for this. He loved to fish and kayak with his friend Norma. He was a Red Sox fan and a Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed going to concerts with his nephew Nathan.

Jeff is survived by his sisters Cheryl and her husband John Morin of Winslow, Betsy and her husband Les Priest of Readfield, his brother Jamie Brown of Beaver Cove, a niece and three nephews; Katie, Jake Nathan, and Brandon, and four great nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his friend Norma Gilley of West Gardner

Jeff was predeceased by his father Gerald Davis, his mother, Nancy Davis Brown, and his step-father Richard Brown.

Friends may call Sunday Dec. 20, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center 34 High Street Newport. A memorial celebration of Jeff's life will held Monday Dec. 21, 2015 at 11 AM at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, Newport.
