Jean (St. Peter) Kinney, age 72, of Longmont, an active member of her community, died August 1, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jean was born in Old Town, ME.
She graduated from the U. of ME at Fort Kent with a degree in Education. Jean started her teaching career in Limestone, where she married Bruce Kinney. They later moved to Colorado, where she taught school for many years, retiring in 2001. Among her many interest were quilting, golfing, camping and traveling the world. She also enjoyed volunteering for various groups and organizations.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Bernadette St. Peter of Eagle Lake. She is survived by her partner, William Veach; sisters, Betty Madore of Van Buren and Donna Geiger and husband, Jim, of Long Island, N.Y.; brother, Thomas St. Peter and wife, Patricia, of Eagle Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
No service is planned. In Jean's honor, she asks that you do something kind for someone expecting nothing in return.
