BANGOR - Janice G. Simon, 77 died unexpectedly, with her family by her side, April 26, 2015, at a local hospital. She was born June 28, 1937, in Old Town, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen (Lawson) Oliver.
Janice graduated from Old Town High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer, Old Town Grange, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and Eastern Star. Janice was a caring and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all.
Janice is survived by her son, Jeffrey Simon and his partner, Elisa Coble; daughter, Jolene Cormier and her husband, Vinny; grandchildren, Jessica Simon and her fiancée Damien Grant, Patricia Davis, and her husband, Bruce, Paul Coble, Ashley Simon, Dylan Cormier and his fiancée Jewels Watson, Nicholas Simon, and Nathan Simon; great grandchildren, Hailey Simon, and Michael Grant; several sisters and brothers-in-law; special nieces and nephews; and many many special friends. In addition to her parents, Janice was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Cecil Simon; and brother, Lloyd Oliver Jr.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where A Funeral Liturgy outside the Mass will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015. Rite of Committal at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town, will be held at a later date. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service.
